      “Building an Age-Diverse Workforce:

    SHRM and AARP Insights for

Washington, Oregon, and Alaska HR Professionals”

Date:  Monday, October 16, 2017, at 3:00 pm ET, 12:00 pm PT, 11:00 am AKT

Hosted by:  SHRM Northwest Human Resource Management Association (NHRMA) and the AARP Oregon state office

    Program length:  60 minutes

    Webinar Summary:

The combination of a tight jobs market and the aging of the U.S. workforce means that organizations need to think creatively when trying to source great talent.  Building an age-diverse workforce is a key strategy in this effort, yielding a stronger pipeline of talent, protecting business continuity, and tapping into new resources to address talent shortages.

Join SHRM and AARP experts to learn how HR professionals in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska can adopt best practices for attracting, hiring and retaining workers age 50+ to develop an age-diverse workforce.  The SHRM and AARP presenters will provide examples of organizational best practices and support resources available through the SHRM-SHRM Foundation Aging Workforce Initiative, AARP’s Employer Pledge Program, and SHRM and AARP research studies and other tools and programs.
